OUR HISTORY

Most Americans understand the importance of arts education to their children. But what they may not realize is that their children are not getting enough. With the educational curriculum suffering from overcrowding, along with the "back to basics" movement which have cut back arts programs in many schools, our youth are getting the short end of the stick. A humble man by the name of Gary Lawson realized this in his own community. So, he did something about it.

In 1992, Gary founded Future America (F/A), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to providing education and training to children ages 5-18 years-old in the performing arts areas of dance, voice, and drama. Since its start, it has touched the lives of hundreds of youth with amazing success stories, milestones and accolades. Future America continues to provide low-cost programs in the Cities of West Covina and Covina.  It's hope is to broaden its courses to include neighboring cities to provide much needed arts education to our youth. Future America aspires not only to expand its geographical reach, but also to explore other arts programs, including discipilines such as fine art, audio and video production, photography, and design.Future America is solely funded through available grants, donations, and corporate sponsors. Including the support of parents and volunteers. The goal is always to raise enough funds to provide thie specialized training free of charge.
